40 Love

I came up with the idea that tennis players should be drinking less water and more beer. The result is a new ad campaign aimed at showing players’ 40 love. That’s right, 40 Love. Here are some print ads I designed. Click on the pics for larger versions.

French Open: Federer vs Nadal

strangely oftenAll kinds of streaks involved on Sunday. When Nadal beat Federer in four sets in the French final, it ended and extended a bunch of runs. Since it’s just clay, it didn’t really feel like a changing of the guard in anyway, especially given how much Federer sucked. It’s a good story, and certainly makes for future excitement, assuming Nadal can accomplish anything on grass or hard surfaces.

Here are the streaks:
chomp-Extended Nadal’s clay win streak to 60
-Ended Federer’s bid for 4 straight slams
-Federer’s 1st loss in 8 slam finals
-Federer’s 4th loss to Nadal in 2006 finals
-Nadal’s 2nd consecutive French Open title

Sharapova vs. Golovin

100 degrees celsius
lickedy split

I really need to move to Miami.

Roll Over, Sharapova

…she’s hotter and skinnier than you.

As Dangle has pointed out, and which I can no longer ignore, the hottest female pro tennis player out there may, in fact, be Daniela Hantuchova.

I have no idea how old she is, and frankly, I don’t want to know. Her waify, wafer-like body is possibly a little too skinny, but that’s just splitting hairs. Throughout my life, I’ve maintained that tennis chicks are the hottest of the sports chicks, and here’s further proof.

Also, she’s typically around a #15 seed in the majors, so she’s definitely good and will be around for a while. She’ll probably get some airtime on ESPN2 during the Australian Open, which is going on now.
