On the day of his liver transplant, the Camp Nou fans saluted Eric Abidal in the 22nd minute (he wears #22). His story is a popular one and has crossed rivalry/national/language boundaries as a symbol of unity and goodwill, reminding everyone that sports are just a game and the people who play them are more than just statistics and avatars. Good times.
I’ve been following Barça for years, and it completely rocks to see them win it all. I’ve always used them against the COM in every FIFA video game. They’ve seen a bunch of legends like Figo, Ronaldo, and Rivaldo pass through without winning it all. Ronaldinho pulled it off in a legendary season, which included their 18th La Liga title. It was a ridiculous final match, with two goals in the last 14 minutes, and the Arsenal keeper getting a red card. Nutz.
