Hercules: Animal Lover permalink

Cerynitian Hind
Hercules was famous in ancient Greece for his unique ability to tackle a deer from behind. The deer would buck wildly, but Hercules knew the one spot that would bring them down. It was known as the Hercutaint.

Stymphalian Birds
Hercules was fond of birds and used to feed them flowers from his hands to train them as his evil army of the night. They would often raid homes and steal babies, bringing them to Hercules for his supper.

Erymanthean Boar
One stubborn boar entered Athens and relieved himself in the middle of streets. Hercules was called in to push the boar out, a struggle that lasted for days, and the stench for weeks.

Nemean Lion
Hercules and a lion fought the first interspecies mudwrestling event. Hercules got the lion in a full nelson, and mankind finally claimed dominance of the animal kingdom.
