Best Politician Ever: Henry Clay

The biggest stud to rock the state of Kentucky (except Man O’ War)

He settled the Missouri Compromise, brokered tariff reform, designed the American System, led the Whig Party, served in the U.S. House (Speaker) & Senate, served as Secretary of State, delayed the Civil War, argued precedential cases, opposed Jacksonian idiocy, and was known as the Great Compromiser.

He has a mountain, sixteen counties, streets, monuments, and a high school named in his honor. Even supported Greek independence from the Ottomans. If I ever win the lottery, I’m going to move into Ashland.

The biggest stud ever to rock the state of Kentucky is a five-time Presidential loser?

Yeah, he was too busy saving everyone else’s ass.

Plus, being President doesn’t make you great.

You know I don’t have to look very far to make my point.

Touche – and considering both Whigs who became President died in office, maybe it was a good thing he never made it (though not for lack of trying).

Plus, he taught at Transylvania University.

But he still was repeatedly beaten by Andrew Jackson, a Tennesseer…

Transy rules. Right in the heart of Sexy Lexy.

I don’t care about Andrew Jackson, he was more ridiculous than Michael Jackson. Crazy history of pedophilia, look it up.
