I’m surprised this doesn’t happen a lot more often. Those fly-boys always wait till the last minute to put the brakes on, and between the snow and Midway’s placement of a runway next to a busy street, these bozos didn’t stand a chance. I’ve always felt that I’d be safer at the Battle of Midway than at Midway Airport.
