It’s typically a laughing matter when a President gets called for jury duty. But this time, the “too busy running the country” excuse is the joke. I think it would be a good publicity opportunity for Dubya to go serve on the jury and show that he is indeed involved in our democracy.

I wonder how many babies have been named Katrina since the storm? How many on the Gulf Coast? How many in New Orleans? I bet people are changing the spelling around to like “Catreena”, etc…
Violet, what a nice, old, old name. Other than Violet Beauregarde, the only other person I’ve ever heard named Violet is um… no one. “Violet Affleck” doesn’t even really roll off the tongue either. Sounds like a military gun or virus strain or something.
