Shevchenko named Footballer of the Year
He’s actually the first Ukranian man to ever win anything on an international stage. Some past near-wins include:
1926: Olympic triathlete Viktor Slavak finishes second after Stalin has him killed during the final event.
1961: Ukrainian manned rocket narrowly misses landing on the moon after onboard monkey smears feces on the control mechanisms.
1996: Ukraine’s basketball team loses 184-31 to the U.S. in the gold medal game at the Atlanta Olympics. I guess that’s not very close.
Google to Offer Libraries’ Books to Lure Web Surfers
You still have to be quiet will reading them though. Anyway, it seems that if Google really wanted to “lure web surfers” they would offer “hardcore goat porn” instead of “libraries’ books”
