A memorial built to a college bonfire
Ok here is the breakdown of this story. Every year, before a football game versus Texas, Texas A&M builds a massive (59 ft high) bonfire. They have a Bonfire Committee set up and appoint 50 Bonfire Leaders, hire crane companies and leave the construction up to the students (that was a good idea right?).. So 5 years ago, what do you know, the bonfire collapsed, killing 16 students.. So now the built a $5 mil. memorial…now giving precedent to creating a memorial for every death that can be attributed to stupidity.. Coming soon the memorial to maine residents killed in drunken snowmobile accidents.
