FBI, Justice Dept. to Face 9/11 Panel

checks and balances are all good and well, but sometimes i wonder how much people are really willing to take blame for anything. this whole commission nonsense plays right into the thirsty public’s hands.

with the republicans in power, i’d be willing to bet that this commission’s true purpose is to raise all of the 9/11 questions now and early (relative to the election), have all of the top people, e.g. Condie Rice, answer the commission’s questions well, and look like they did the absolute best job possible during the events of 9/11.

if the commission asks all of its questions, and everyone in charge at the time answers them satisfactorily, then the entire regime, save any sacrificial lamb, come out looking like silky butter, and coast into the election.

even if the facts are indeed that the people involved did the best of their abilities, several powerful people should already know that, so the fact that this commission exists is not accidental, nor is it truly investigative. it sounds like a dummy commission set up to impress the masses with its barbara walters-esque, hard-nosed reporting that will cheaply boost the trust in the current administration. slam dunk.

Britney Getting Real for TV Series

aw cheah….set your minds to “numb” as britnizzle slaps you with another show of public affection; her fine new reality series soon to be on MTV, OnTourage.
brit
apparently it revolves around her latest tour, so look forward to many hurried costume changes, wacky tourbus antics, and insight into the 3-hour makeup process it takes to cover britney’s fleshy scales.

can you feel the robot-claw of pop culture squeezing your neck? has anyone stopped to ask themselves why they watch?

our current society ranks 3rd in the all-time “Most Embrarassing Periods in America” right behind:
1. 1921-1926 (Charleston, any other dance)
2. 1815-1821 (Lobster Affair, Indiana statehood)
3. 1973-1976 (Solo Beatles, earth tones, cults)

  2. Actually C4, the commission’s report is not due out until AFTER the election, a decision made by GW Bush (well Cheney makes all his decisions anyways)….So even if it does indicate that Condi Rice is worthless, the administration did not follow the memos given to them by the Clinton Administration and realligned its goals and then blindly led us to disaster.. we won’t know that until after the election.

  3. the point is, it’s occurring now.

the images are in the media now.

    the attention is now.

it HELPS the republicans to hold off on the conclusion

  4. Of course it helps the republicans to hold of the conclusions and drag this on as long as possible knowing that the media and public does not have the attention span to follow it any longer..

  5. well all i’m saying is that this seems to be all drummed up with no actual investigative intentions in mind, just basically setting the ball on the tee for the administration to make itself look pretty, or at least competent.

  6. actually the commission does seem to be competent and have the balls to ask some tough and mean questions.. a true test of their cojones will be if they ask the FBI about the 140 Saudi’s GW Bush let fly out of the country a few days after 9/11 even though there was a complete flight ban in the US and even though they could have had info for the FBI and even though we knew the hijackers were saudis…but in the mind of Dubya, the Bush family ties to the House of Saud (Saudi Arabia’s royal family) are worth more than say finding who was responsible for 9/11

  7. If you think thats the only “sneaky” propaganda that the white house puts out (especially in an election year) you’re very wrong. Did you know that the White House tapes its own news segments and passes them to local tv stations around the country, talking about everything from medicare to the war. They even hire actors to play news reporters.
